PILLAR / Connections

Use PILLAR in Claude and ChatGPT.

PILLAR's Scripture-grounded, independently reviewed guidance inside the AI apps you already use. Free.

What it does

Ask PILLAR a faith question from inside Claude or ChatGPT. Your question goes through PILLAR's governed pipeline, the same one used by the PILLAR app.

PILLAR independently reviews its generated guidance for faithfulness before returning it. Scripture references are cited with their translation names. The connector returns these references rather than Scripture passage text.

Your questions and PILLAR's answers are saved in your PILLAR account. Continue there in the app, or ask Claude or ChatGPT to follow up in the same PILLAR conversation.

Your data

Claude or ChatGPT sends PILLAR the question submitted to its tool and, for a follow-up, a PILLAR conversation reference. Your approved connection identifies your PILLAR account. PILLAR does not independently retrieve your other chats or files from the connected app.

PILLAR stores the question and its answer in your account. It can use your existing conversation context and memory settings. When memory is enabled, connector questions can add new memory items; they cannot change or delete existing ones.

Connector questions count toward the same daily and monthly limits as questions in the PILLAR app. Checking your usage does not use a question.

Claude or ChatGPT also receives PILLAR's answer and handles its own chat history under its policies. PILLAR uses user conversations to train PILLAR's models. Read the Privacy Policy for processing, storage, and retention details.

Disconnect PILLAR in Claude or ChatGPT's settings. Disconnecting does not erase saved conversations; an issued access token can remain valid until it expires, currently one hour after issuance. Successfully deleting your PILLAR account blocks further use of that account through the connection. Copies already held by Claude or ChatGPT remain subject to that app's policies.

Help

Sign-in keeps returning to the start

Start a new connection from Claude or ChatGPT. If you use an email sign-in link, open it in the same browser where you started the connection. Finish by approving the PILLAR connection before returning to your AI app.

“Didn't finish connecting”

Check that the server URL is exactly https://mcp.askpillar.ai/mcp, including /mcp. Start a fresh connection and complete sign-in and approval. In Claude, choose Register automatically if an OAuth client choice appears. If it repeats, contact PILLAR support.

Daily or monthly limit reached

Ask PILLAR to check your usage and next reset time, then try your question after the reported reset. Reconnecting does not reset your allowance.

A question did not finish

Check your PILLAR conversation history and usage before repeating the question. An interrupted request may already have saved an answer and counted toward your limits.

For connection or account help, include the AI app you use and a short description of what happened.
